Price range: 21 AUD - 33 AUD
Cuisines: Italian
Good for: Child-friendly
Description: Situated in Battersea Rise, PizzaMetroPizza is a family restaurant with an interesting claim to fame. The sister of the first authentic Neapolitan pizzeria opened in Londons Battersea, the small PizzaMetroPizza chain, as it is now, also lays claim to being the very first to offer the incredible metre long pizza, a concept now copied all over the capital. But PizzaMetroPizza doesnt rest on this one gimmick. Instead, the team behind this restaurant strive to continue providing some of the most authentic Italian pizza around in a warm, welcoming dining room with plenty of character and charm. The kitchen populated by chefs straight from Italy, PizzaMetroPizzas menu relies on excellent ingredients, with 95% of the food including doughs, breads and sausages prepared freshly in house every day. All Italian ingredients go in to the pizzas, which are then cooked in a wood fired oven to ensure the most authentic flavour youre likely to come across.

My review may only apply if you get a delivery from this company, I have no idea what it's like eating at the restaurant but I am certainly not willing to try after the quality of takeaway. They charged me £19 for a pizza and starter (fried rice ball things) - The starter was tepid and stodgy & the pizza... More

We had lunch at the Pizza Metro in Nottingham the first week of May. We were greeted immediately by the manager, Mr. Viva and taken to a quiet table on the second floor. We ordered Pasta alla Vongole and a Prochuitto and Fungi pizza. The food came quickly and was cooked perfectly. The waiters were very professional and courteous. We... More

Great pizza, simply great. A little more pricey than it needs to be but when the pizza is that good it's worth it.

After a long day spent lapping up the gorgeous London weather, my friends and I ducked in to The Mitre pub and managed to score a prime spot on the sofa in the corner. A couple of hours of drinking and chatting was enough for us to build up an appetite, so we wandered back up to The Metro Pizza,... More

I visited this pizza restaurant based on glowing reviews on this joint and the original, award-winning one in Battersea which is widely acclaimed as the best pizzerias in town. Obviously I visited the Notting Hill restaurant (the more well-known Pizza Metro in Battersea is a bit far from where we live) with great expectations. I ordered a mushroom & cheese... More

We'd intended eating closer to our hotel, but walked in the wrong direction from the bus stop. All I wanted was somewhere warm with toilets. We did much better than that. First of all, they placed us in the warmest seats (opposite the pizza oven). then the service was friendly, everyone was Italian, the wine list was Italian (OK, it... More

My two friends and I stumbled across this place on the corner about 5mins from Notting Hill gate tube station as the place we had intended to go for supper was full. But this was no disappointment... the Pizzas come in huge long oblong shapes - the longer the more of you that there are...! You choose your toppings and... More
