This really is a great restaurant, reminded me of the two St John restaurants in London in terms of the quality of their meat and signature dishes you can only find in rare, good food places. Service was very good, and I'd probably say it's one of the more under-stated but great restaurants in East London at the moment. Has... More

This was our third visit to Brawn and every time we've been seriously impressed. The (natural) wines are sourced from 40 Maltby Str. (which serves some excellent food themselves from Thursday to Saturday), service very good and the food just what it should be. The restaurant specialises in small French country style sharing dishes and the menu changes every day.... More

We met the manager at the door, a really nice guy from Australia, and he made us feel very welcome. We were thee on a Sunday so they had a set menu. My wife does not eat pork but the manager was extremely helpful with swapping things around on the menu. The food and atmosphere is really good and I... More

Located in Shoreditch, Brawn offers tasty modern English food served in casual surroundings. Go to see what the younger English cooks are serving; this is a locals place off the tourist path. A very good wine list complements the cuisine.

Stayed in Stepney green to visit some restaurants nearby on one of our inspiration seeking trips to London from the sticks. We have wanted to eat here for a while and were not dissapointed. Loved the cool interior, fab atmosphere and too many great thing on the menu to choose from. Our very pretty French waitress was knowledgable and attentive.... More

The three of us had a problem finding the restaurant as there was no large snazzy sign to catch our eye from the taxi, but we eventually got there. The front dining room is very much like a cafe, the back, where we were seated was nicer, more like a bistro. We tried the Charcuterie selection (scrumptious), the scratchings (wonderful),... More

Book, it's not got many tables. I'm gluten free so couldn't eat everything on the menu, but there was still plenty of choice, next time I'll take my own Oat cake biscuits or Rice cakes for the cheese or pate. There were 4 of us, everyone enjoyed what the choose. It's versatile I think, you could have 3 starters rather... More

I've been twice: Brawn serves really good food, with friendly, attentive (but not intrusive) service, and the food is good value. The wine list has many unusual bottles: those I've tried were good, but seemed somewhat expensive. Lunch on Sunday is a treat. It's a set meal, with all three starters served (you don't choose just one) for your party... More

Came here with and on the recommendation of a London local. Good place for quality and quantity. Ordered about 9 dishes with a bottle of wine and desert wine for about GB120. Staff were attentive and helpful. Food was varied and satisfying. Vegetarian food was, surprisingly, available. Great food to share. Some of the meals we had were Hierloom Tomatoes,... More

I have had a couple of great meals here, once at lunch and the other in the evening. Yesterday I tried Brawn for Sunday Brunch. They offer a set menu. 3 starters were shared between the 6 of us and all very good. For the main course and dessert you have no choice (I believe they will provide a veggie... More
