Description: Cheese-lovers from far and wide will adore this secret little Savoyarde restaurant which is tucked away on Redchurch Street, a cobblestoned laneway just behind the intersection of Bethnal Green Road and the Shoreditch High Street. Popular with hipsters on a budget and lovers of good Franco-Italian fare, Walluc Bistro is a riot of Alpine charm from the mustard coloured walls and beamed ceilings to the pots of sunflowers and strings of onions hanging overhead. The Walluc Bistro fondues are epic, and we also adore the raclette cheese boards and gigantic servings of pasta which easily feed two. Not for the faint of heart - or the lactose intolerant Walluc Bistro is a perfect spot for cosy gatherings and celebrations.

It's small, tight but charming in its own way, almost like you've been transported to a small Swiss mountain town. If you love raclette, fondue and that kind of thing, it's the place for you. Don't bother if you get crotchety about personal space and impeccably polite service though.

Went to the Walluc Bistro on date night with hubby after seeing the review in the newspaper as a fun place - Total waste of our time and money - no heating in the building - so needed to keep our coats on during meal -very slow service with only 3 tables of people - got cold/ lightly warm tea... This place is a little gem in Shoreditch. We found this place online and thought we would try it out. The Bistro is decorated in a homely style and has a relatively small menu. We went for the cheese fondue - good value £9.99 per person... Make sure you book a table beforehand as there is very limited seating and... More

We booked a late table at 2.30pm on a Saturday and it was clear that they were staying open just for us. We took advice from other reviews and stuck to the fondue. We had a mixture of gruyere, emmental and camembert with salad, potatoes and plate of charcuterie. Amazing value for a tenner each! The staff were cheerful and... More
