Description: Chalk Farms Haverstock Hill provides plenty of choice for the casual London diner, however few of its restaurants are as strikingly different as Tandis. Occupying a site formerly held by a trendy bar, Tandis retains the chilled, funky vibe and cool dcor but has added excellent Persian food and friendly waiter service. Exposed brick walls and a mirrored bar, waterfall style chandeliers and reclamation style accessories make up the fashionable interior, suiting both the locals of rich Primrose Hill and grungy Camden, both within easy distance. Tandis Persian cuisine has also enthralled visitors looking for something totally different. Warm, pungent spices add subtle flavour to stews and kebabs with many vegetarian options available. Dont miss the faloodeh, a delicious Persian sorbet.

Visited with friends - very busy on a saturday night. Very limited options on menu for vegetarians. Had hummous to start - big portion but bland, also had to order bread separately. Main course was not pleaseant - cannot remember what it was called but it was a potatoe & kidneybean stew. There was maybe 4 tiny pieces of potato... More

Iranian restaurants are quite rare in the UK so, as I was visiting Camden I decided to take a walk up Haverstock Hill and try Tandis for lunch. It was a Saturday and Camden was heaving but just a quarter of a mile north and it was very quiet. On my arrival, unbooked, there was only one other group in... More

Booked a table via toptable for an early dinner at 6:30pm. We were the only diners at that time, but the place began to fill up from about 7pm. We had 4 starters, 4 mains, a bottle of wine, a bottle of beer and a vodka and cranberry juice for £85 including service. The food was excellent and plentiful and... More

We went here for a simple birthday supper as a small group in the early evening. The restaurant was quiet and service was attentive. The dishes are full of good flavours and served simply, and the persian cold deserts were excellent and welcome on a hot summer night. Wine by the glass was also good value. Would eat here again

We have been regulars for the last 2 years. Every time a warm welcome, great starters and huge portions of beautifully cooked stews or kebabs. Decent wine list and tasty desserts to finish with reasonable prices. Very pleased to understand that they are doing free home delivery now!

My boyfriend and I have been eating here every other week since the restaurant opened and it has become a firm favourite. The food is delicious every time - not once have we had a bad meal! The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced - we can't go more than a week without getting cravings. The portions are very... More
