Decided to come here due to all the good reviews I have read about the place. Spent a pleasant few hours here but wouldn't be quite so effusive in my praise. The food was good, but nothing above many other places that I have been.. We enjoyed the cocktails and the cocktail menu is quirky and interesting. The starters were... More

Very informative and delightful bartendress. Exellent meal of roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings. Don't miss the marmalade cocktail. Waiter was difficult to understand but efficient.

Took my boyfriend to the Hawksmoor for his birthday last year and we both just L.O.V.E.D it! We walked in to a very friendly, polite and professional greeting. Were taken to the bar where we had some amazing cocktails. Then onto our table...my boyfriend had a steak - the best he's had in London in the last 10 years! I... More

There was nothing at Hawksmoor I could fault, it was, simply, the best meal of my life. We visited as a large group and booked 3 months in advance, so there was a lot of pressure for the restaurant to live up to. And it certainly did. Service was comfortable but flawless in both the bar and at the table.... More

This was one of those rare experiences where there was not one single thing that was not right. I booked a table solely for me at the latest possible time (2230 midweek) and unlike some other establishments, requesting a table for one did cause any difficulty. Although the food was excellent, the greatest asset of this restaurant is its staff.... More

We were disappointed by the food. The bone marrow starter was so oily and greasy. The caesar salad was way too heavy to be called 'salad'. Too much grated cheese rather than 'generous'. The mains were good but did not woo us. This place is overrated and would not go back because it's so expensive and food wasn't up tithe... More

My second visit to this restaurant - and the great dining experience repeated itself. The food was excellent. Special recommended is their hallmark grilled marrow bones.

Booked for Sunday lunch as I had read it was one of the best places to go for a good roast in London. As I knew the roast was huge we didn't have any starters or side dishes. The Sunday roast was £19.90 per person but it was worth it especially if you don't have any starters (and I doubt... More

From the moment you walk in and are greeted, a faultless occasion. Our waitress was delight itself and confirms all you hear about job satisfaction at Hawksmoor, resulting, naturally, in customer satisfaction. Startes of curried mussels and smoked salmon were exemplary, but the main course of ribeye was the star, cooked perfectly rare and tasting divine. The lettuce salad almost... More
