Great atmosphere! Go upstairs if you want to eat. Stay downstairs just to drink. Great fish and chips.

My friends and I enjoyed a Friday lunchtime at the Shepherds Tavern - busy, noisy, friendly, eclectic group of customers and all in the heart of Mayfair and Shepherds Market. Plenty of room with a further seating area upstairs. If you like real ale try the Woodforde's Wherry, a good session beer ABV 3.8% or the really tasy Wells Bombardier... More

Have been using this pub, when visiting London due to it's location behind the big Park Lane hotels. Good Beer at normal prices and quality inexpensive food.

Our first night in London, we walked from our hotel to the Shepherds Tavern -- we enjoyed the fish & chips served on the first floor with all the locals enjoying their after-work libations. The lady who served us (presumably the manager or owner) was very patient and attentive.

Ordered food which after half an hour hadn't turned up. Politely enquired where our food was to be told the kitchen is busy (no indication of this when we ordered) but... More

Charming old pub with a lovely upstairs dinning room. Pub food at pub prices, and generally better than others in the same chain. Friendly staff and an interesting array of regulars from crims to toffs.

We visited Sheperds Tavern four or five times during our stay in the Mayfair district. There are a lot of interesting small shops and restaurants in the area. The staff was friendly, the food was good and the prices were fair. This is a great neighborhood bar and worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. Come prepared to... More
