We ate here after seeing a matinee on a Saturday and whilst the food was good, not brilliant but slightly better than average, I was disappointed by the and hence the 10% service charge! It was prompt but the waitress would not raise a smile, despite us being a friendly small group, and the waiter was distracted halfway through taking... More

I use this restaurant nearly every time I'm in the Holborn region on business The owner is really friendly, as are the waiting staff Excellent value for money My partner and I would strongly recommend the bruschetta pomodoro as a starter, pollo e espinace for mains, washed down with frascati

At Old Amalfi you encounter a genuine flavour of Italy among the natives. The Old Amalfi has been a dine of choice on numerous occasions due to the high quality food and friendly atmosphere generated by the authenticity of the host and his staff. The Bruschetta opened my palate and the Chicken with spinach left me reeling with pleasure. A... More

This was a very good Italian restaurant. What I liked is that they didn't bring out a ton of food, but there was still plenty with an appetizer and room for dessert.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, one of the best Italian restaurants in Central London. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu is varied with a good choice of pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes. Would definitely recommend!

at least more authentic and better food than Pizza Express opposite - anti pasti typical, and it is difficult to make poor pasta! but reasonable value for money and atmosphere

We chose this instead of our usual London Italian because it was close to our hotel. We both chose bruschetta to start which was fresh and tasty. My husband had spaghetti bolognese, which was also fresh and tasty, but my lasagne was one of the worst I have ever been presented with in a restaurant. The meat was grey and... More

Great little place, pasta is far better than the nearby, and more popular, Ciao Bella. Would definitely recommend it.

A meal here isn't going to be one of those culinary experiences you remember for a lifetime, but Amalfi offers perfectly good food at reasonable prices. I ate here on a couple of successive nights on a recent business trip, with pasta, side salad, a beer and a (not terribly good) espresso plus a small tip (a service charge is... More
