Description: toptable Dining Awards 2010 - Runner-up: Best for Value. Situated in the leafy South London suburbs, not far from Greenwich Park; Gurkhas Inn is a firm favourite with local curry connoisseurs. High-backed leather chairs, wooden floors and low-key dcor create a relaxed setting for laid-back lunches and dinner with family and friends. The extensive menu showcases the best of Indian and Nepalese cuisine, with familiar favourites like chicken jalfrezi, lamb pasanda and prawn bhuna on offer. For something a little different, why not try one of their signature dishes? We love the cod cooked with coconut milk, green herbs and mustard seeds, and the Khasi Khutta tender lamb with peas in traditional Nepalese style. For authentic Indian food, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service; Gurkhas Inn is hard to beat.

I've eaten here a few times. The food is generally ok but they have a tendancy to put too much sauce on certain dishes and often over spicey. I've also had a churning stomach on more than one occasion after eating here requiring imodium. Service is friendly and attentive. Value for money? Not bad.
