Like many others we ended up at Kumo after booking a cheap deal on a voucher website. Kumo is located in Knightsbridge, the entrance immediately sends alarm bells ringing. There is a small awning, and you essentially enter through the back of a shop, open the door and down the stairs into the small basement. My immediate impression was that... More

I had a voucher for Kumo and for the voucher the place was good value, but it's meant to be Japanese restaurant but it's more like a Japanese influence. Profiteroles were the pudding! It looks like it should be a slick club more than somewhere to eat. The food was average, nice cocktails, average price for the area. Book through... More

Guys, I felt it my responsibility to write a review to let you know not to waste your money on this place. I feel bad for saying so, but all I'm about to write is the truth!!!! Background: The Groupon voucher I bought was around £30 - to feed 4 people rather then 2. Evening: I Invited 3 people to... More

Booked this restaurant a week in advance after purchasing a voucher. Turned up at 6pm (the time of our booking and the time the restaurant was due to open) and it did not open, no-one answered door to explain and no note was left. By 6.45pm the restaurant had still not opened and we were still waiting outside the restaurant... More

I wanted to make a reservation for a Saturday but the restaurant contacted me with an alternative day (Sunday) and time (7.30pm) as the Saturday was fully booked. We arrived at the appointed time to find the restaurant in darkness, door shut, lights off. We tried to telephone them but there was no reply. I tried to contact the restaurant... More

The menu is small; you won't find raw fish on it, instead a fusion-cuisine set of items, tapas size; the prices are Knightsbridge. We accepted that our GROUPON voucher was going to leave us hungry and ordered more food -- shrug, roll with the punches, have another drink, deal with it at the end of the credit-card billing cycle. Reminiscent... More

I knew what to expect of Kumo simply because I did my research before I went, but that was after I purchased a Groupon voucher. Had it not been for that voucher I would have felt cheated more cheated than I was. As expected when my husband, friends and myself entered, it was a nice trendy bar atmosphere, certainly not... Bought a Groupon for 2. Total rip off. The sushi plate was tiny, max for 1 person. The drinks were very expensive. Totally not worth the value. Would never go back.

This place is not a restaurant - it is a dive. It is literally an underground tacky cocktail bar. We had a booking at 8pm. However, as the restaurant (and I say that in the loosest sense) only had one menu, we had to wait for the other three groups to finish with it before the wine stained item was... More

This place was a terrible excuse for a restaurant. It was a den. The 'tables were right next to the toilets, you could hear them being flished and hear the hand dryers while you're eating. The grilled asparagus was nice but thats it! the sushi was gluggy and you couldnt bite through the seaweed paper so our plate was cleared... More
