Description: Situated in the historic centre of Greenwich, mogul indian is a well-established Indian restaurant that is extremely popular with locals. The menu comprises a mix of modern and traditional dishes, and is renowned for its authentic North Indian cuisine. Split over three levels, there is a first floor bar, which is the perfect place to meet friends for a pre-dinner drink, and to relax afterwards with a digestif. The ground floor restaurant is light and airy, with a buzzy atmosphere, while the Moguls basement restaurant provides a cosy and romantic ambience, with its atmospheric alcoves and dimmed lighting. We love the chicken makhani murgh - chicken cooked on the bone in the tandoor, deboned and cooked in a sauce of butter, creamed tomatoes and spices.

My wife and I had a strange experience in the mogul last night. Let me take you through it. First impressions looked good as we walked up to the restaurant. However our first encounter with a waiter was not impressive, as he sent us downstairs after looking at us in what was a rather disdainful fashion, to say the least.... More

Travelling with a large group for work, I decided to go solo on last night in Greenwich, as I cared more for a curry than traditional British pub food. Ended up at the Mogul by chance. It was an ok experience, got placed on a very uncomfortable seat in the basement, although I believe there were seats on street level.... More

how people put up with mediocre indian restaurants. I have found over the years a good number of restaurants that really know how to create different and interesting dishes, rather than churn out identikit "favourites" that are full of ridiculously bright food dyes with the only difference in taste is how much chilli or garlic has been added to the... My wife and I were exploring the area, looking for a place to eat Indian food and found the place. The food was great, so was the staff. I recommend the place, wish that I could come back again.

What a good evening meal. Quick and friendly service. Elegant and understated decor. Husband chose rogan josh, I had chicken jalfrezi. We shared! Both of us agreed it was the best Indian cuisine we had had in this country. Marvellous :)

I love India food. Find the best seats hidden down stairs in the cellar in arched hideaways. Food is fresh and filling and very good.

The Mogul is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. They have a special lunch menu that is a really good deal. The food is delicious, and the staff are extremely friendly. They also have this really cool downstairs area that is very cozy!

I visited this Restaurant with around 8 work colleagues and the service was very good. The place itself is like an 80`s wine bar that has been changed to an Indian and therefore doesn’t work very well. The food was very nice, although you do have to spend 30 mins practicing how to pronounce the meals as they must think... More

We went to the Mogul having read all the good reviews. We were seated in the upstairs restaurant which was very cramped. Our orders were taken very slowly. After an hour of waiting or main course arrive - on cold plates - so went cold extremely quickly. They ran out of the draught lager we were drinking and were offered... More
