Everything in Patisserie Valerie is great. It's so hard to pick a fav coz everything is good. The only thing is when I went here, it was packed. It's nicer to come when there's less people.

I had a breakfast here with my wife. I had the eggs Benedict royal and my wife had scrambled eggs and bacon on a toast. Both portions were big and quickly delivered. The cappucino was big and excellent. The freshly squeezed orange juice sealed the deal. We will be back.

I was breakfasting alone, and just wanted to grab a quick bite. Welcome was friendly, coffee was excellent. I chose the porridge, which came in a huge bowl, together with some berry fruits (they were a bit thin on the ground though) and some maple syrup. Delicious, although rather too much of it for an average appetite.

I always choose this place for coffee with friends when I am in London as the cakes and pastries are so delicious and the decor is not your run of the mill coffee place. It has an air of elegance. The only down is that the tables are rather close together which makes it a bit cramped.

There is no doubt that the cakes and pastries in Patisserie Valerie are good, and the staff were also very pleasant, but it's time this place had some refurbishment. The tables are worn and the decor really needs freshening, so this took away from the experience of eating here. If the weather is warm, take a table outside instead.

Safe bet for coffee and cake on a wet Sunday afternoon!
