Mirch Masala used to be great little place to get authentic Indian food but ever since their expansion the quality of the food has dropped majorly, and also the waiter are not allowed to keep any of the tips, they have to give them to managment, I have been told the same at several mirch masalas.

This was genuinely the worst meal that I've ever paid for. Korma was a salty mess with minimal coconut and runnier than soup. Jalfrezi and Vindaloo were made using the same sauce... They're taking the p1ss! Would recommend staying away from this place.

We expected the canteen atmosphere but traveled the distance because we heard the food was great. Well it was ok, certainly not spectacular. I agree with other reviewers it was cheap but personally I would prefer to pay a bit more for quality. Disappointed. Don't expect something special if you go to this restaurant,

I live locally and can't get enough of Mirch Masala. The portions are generous and excellent value for money, lassi's are priced at 70p! All the meat dishes are marinated beautifully. We've tried quite a lot of the menu and haven't been disappointed yet by Mirch. The service can be a little impersonal, but the staff members work hard in... More

best for authentic curries, choose the heat levels required. cheap, bring your own booze, don't dress up, service is not with a smile, restaurant has a distinctly canteen feel about it. but great for a cheap eat and the value for money is unbelievable for food this tasty. i recommend the mixed grill and the methi gosht

I have read some of the poor reviews on here and having eaten here more than a dozen times I can understand some the comments about service particularly at busy times. However, i cannot understand any critisim about the food as it is outstanding in my opinion. I have been a curry lover for over 30 years and have eaten... More

Driving through Tooting the other night, spotted this place at it looked really busy. Got seated straight away. Service is very brisk and impersonal but, to be honest, it's the kind of place it is. Food is cheap and of very good quality. It arrives quickly and is piping hot, and very tasty. The food is properly spiced, not just... More

Excellent for very reasonable curries ( Karahi prawn and lamb , delicious nan breads and mango lassi ). Very busy and buzzy , no alcohol licence so get your alcohol from the small Tesco store nearby ! Hence for 3 and despite ordering loads it amounts to less than £35 inclusive of tips !!

Busy place- had to wait outside in freezing cold for a table but so glad we did. Efficient service, tasty food and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Try the onion bhajia- its fantastic.
