Description: Sophisticated denizens of Londons Clapham flock to Grafton House restaurant every weekend for fancy brunches, schmoozy cocktails and stylish tete-a-tetes. Located in Clapham Old Town, Grafton House is a glossy venue thats always busy mid-week with a media-centric crowd for business lunches, and the claret and toffee colour scheme and spacious cocktail bar add to the boutiquey boho vibe. The modern European menu is made with organic British produce, and Grafton House has live music on Thursday nights which attracts the local sip-and-be-seen set. In summertime, the elegant garden comes into its own for al fresco dining, too. Highlights from Grafton Houses modern European menu include the hand-picked white crab meat tagliatelle with chilli, garlic and cherry tomatoes; and the pork belly with confit red cabbage, mash, and spicy pineapple jam. The bar scene is so great you may find Grafton House becomes your favourite local restaurant.

It was blisteringly hot but we sat under the shade of the trees out the back and had a lovely lunch. The rib eye steak looked nice but the tuna with cherry tomato and avocado rocket salad was lovely. So was the starter of octopus and new potato salad. The waitress (wish I could place her accent - French? Spanish?)... More

A spacious contemporary and stylish restaurant and bar ideal with friends or for a romantic dinner Top notch but with a difference which you might not notice unless you are truly discerning. Now under new management the restaurant focusses on seasonal, locally produced and organic foods. The idea and quality is excellent. We should be supporting this restaurant not only... More

My fiance and I went to Grafton House on a Friday evening - date night! We booked after a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. Our reservation was at 9.15pm, but typically we arrived slightly late, which was not a problem. As we entered we walked through the lively bar area into the restaurant at the back... More

It's always quiet in here. If you don't mind that it is a nice place for romantic drinks. Good prices too.

I have eaten at Grafton House a few times over the last month and each time it has been fantastic. It really is a notch or two above usual South London restaurants. The food and service are West End standard and with the half price food deal it is very good value.

I live nearby so Grafton House is somewhat of a local place. The service has never been speedy, and it is a pleasant setting so waiting a bit longer for food was no big deal. Recently, however, the service has slowed down to an absolute crawl. On three separate occasions it took forever to order, then over an hour to... More

I have been here a few times for drinks and must say it is a lovely relaxing bar. Really nice vibe especially in summer when the windows are all open. Overall very nice but drinks are pricey.

Food is pretty good here, but might be a little overpriced. The beergarden out the back is a great suntrap. We just need some more sunny days!!

We tried two times to go there unsuccessfully. So better to book before. At least we managed a third time to book a table. unfortunately not the best evening as fifteen drunk guys were having a party. It was very noisy. But still, the service was excellent. They were really doing there best. The waiter was so sorry that our... More
