The wine selection here is very good and they also have some good bottled beer and ale. The steaks are consistently good. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable - a great place to go if you want a 'quiet night in' but don't want to flop at home in front of the TV. There is backgammon and decent reading material... More

Lovely wine. Food very diappointing. There was barely any meat on our Sunday lunch pork (as my boyfriend said, 'which bits are edible?'), lumpy gravy and the smallest amount of vegetables. 2 bits of carrot and and 3 pieces of courgette.
