Having been to the Ship in Dovenby On Saturday 23rd March I was really impressed with the Quality of the food just enough to allow a Sweet after(and it was all on one plate instead of in the past the chips coming seperate in a tray) which causes far to much left over waste and the excellent service we recieved.... We were warned to arrive hungry and the portions were big. You could order a small meal if you wanted. The home made chips were very nice. The staff were a little abrupt and could have been more friendly.
