Good food and good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices for quality dining where there is plenty space to share with friends.
After dining out the previous night at our own hotel’s Garden Restaurant at the Ambleside Salutation (which was first class), we were quite looking forward to continuing our celebration of our friend’s 10th wedding anniversary at the Glasshouse. Although we saw the Ramsey “Nightmare” comments from many years ago we didn’t really take much notice to this as surely the...

Friday evening dinner for 6 on the top floor of the restaurant which was very warm even though it was very cold outside. The nuts and seeds appetiser are excellent but out of 6 of us no-one was pleased with their main courses, they were OK but nothing special so we didn't have desserts. I've had lunch here in the...

The wine list is extensive and has something for every budget; there is also a good selection of dessert wines and if...

My friends and I really enjoyed the food and service here. My friend especially enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding and the restaurant happily obliged by providing extra sauce! would go back again.
The restaurant is set over different levels which gives it a nice, spacious feel. The service was very good and we were not waiting long for any of our courses. The prices were reasonable and menu had a nice selection of dishes. We would return again

We always shear the olives and bread with balsamic vinegar for starters, a real treat, and we have always found the mains to be great too, easily one of the best places to eat sirloin. I have always found the...

The food was on the whole disappointing . One of us had Lamb which was quite delicious.
Another had the Glass House Fish Pie which was completely bland and uninteresting. If a restaurant chooses to detail every ingredient which is within the dish, there needs to be some attempt to match this with the offering. In this case a roll...
