Chocolate Cafe just keeps improving. Located on a busy corner with big windows, it's a great place for people watching. The view of the cathedral from upstairs is a bit of a well kept secret also and adds to the romantic atmosphere. Yes, the atmosphere is really great and I keep meeting such nice, interesting people there. Upstairs is fast... More

We sat upstairs and waited an age for waitress to come and take our order, despite the cafe being less than half full. We ordered a few glasses of wine and some olives. White wine wasn't cold, almost warm. Olives were horrible (and I eat a lot of olives). Nobody came upstairs so I took them downstairs to complain. They... More

Often go for a chocolate fix! The white hot chocolates are gorgeous, yet can only have a small as they are very sickly. The atmosphere is lovely, very relaxed even when its busy. A lovely place to have a natter with friends.

I had been really looking forward to visiting the chocolate cafe ever since I noticed it whilst having dinner with friends at Deeson's. (it is located pretty much opposite) I am a chocolate lover and the idea of chocolate and wine sounded like heaven. I went one evening in March and must say I was disappointed. Having had dinner elsewhere... More

My wife loves chocolate, but chocolate gives here migraines so this might seem an odd place for us to go for coffee. However, the coffee is distinctly above average and pushing towards the best in the city (and much better than well known chains). In addition they are one of the very few places in the city to have a... More

The Chocolate Cafe knows that it will entice customers in by its name alone, plus its fancy appearance. However, once inside, it was nothing special. I sat downstairs, on rather uncomfortable wooden chairs and a small round table. The tea was fine, but the teapot leaked all over the table. The cafe uses real tea leaves which is a nice... More

I love coffee and this was the best coffee I've ever tasted! Honestly! :) Their cakes are melting in the mouth, I wish I could get something like that in London.. I'm not event starting on variety of different chocolates and truffles.. I think everybody can find something tasty for their appetite. The interior is very cozy and welcoming, nice... More

This place has developed enormously since it opened a year and a bit ago. The atmosphere is excellent. You can hardly believe you are in England. It feels like Rome or Prague or Barcelona. The decor is ultra-cool with bespoke paintings on the walls and lovely distressed areas of brick/plasterwork. Apparently the owners are Lithuanian academics and had an artist... More

Loved the coffee and really enjoyed the individual handmade chilli sesame hazelnut cream chocolate. Yum! Very busy so service was a little slow/distracted...narrow entrance /exit which makes you feel like you are a bit in the way of waitresses but great decor and some very original sounding treats to eat. Great value too! Refreshing to see such a high quality/unique... More
