Second time we have visited and we were not disappointed. The menu seems to change quite regularly which is great to see and a lot of the food is grown on their own smallholding which we think is a fantastic touch! My boyfriend thinks the pork belly is the best he's ever had, and the range of starters, mains and... More

Everything looks brilliant on the menu. We didn't know what to pick! All the courses that came out were lovely, good quality ingredients and really flavoursome. We will have to go back to try some more!

In 2008, my husband and I went around England and Scotland tasting all the different sticky toffee puddings that we could find. There was quite a range. We found the best one in the north of England in a quaint little town that I have since forgotten the name of. That version reigned supreme - until this week when we... More

I took my parents out to Deeson's for a treat meal after they got back from a short break away. From the welcome we received to when the time came to leave we were looked after beautifully and fed like royalty. Two of us had the starter of asparagus and one of pigeon with wonderful onion tart. And then the... More

Went for lunch which doesn't have half the recommended options that other TA's have suggested but you are still well catered for. "Deep fried whitebait" was anything but, light beautifully cooked, large fat fish which excellent garlic mayonnaise served in a scallop shell. Healthy stuff. Main was fat tasty rope mussels, tasty broth and their own smoked bacon (yes they... More

Our son chose this restaurant for his 21st and we weren't disappointed. We were given a great table in the window. The menu was extensive with a great choice of meals. We all tucked into three hearty courses and felt very repleat at the end of the meal. A lovely memorable meal in a restaurant with great atmosphere served with... More

I have eaten at this restaurant several times now, but we took some friends to celebrate their birthdays last week and I felt it was time I wrote a review to tell others that this has to be the best restaurant in Canterbury. It is certainly my favourite. It is not cheap, but worth every penny for the fantastic food,... More

We had booked late in the week for a Saturday evening meal for after a shopping session and the (great) staff managed to get us in at 6 o clock. The staff are really excellent and helpful and the menu is very extensive. It was absolutely superb: well cooked and delicious, one of the best meals I have had anywhere.... More

Deeson's quite restores your faith in English food and wine all locally sourced. Just when I thought I had to make do with tiny portions of tasteless food under the English banner, we went to Deeson's and had a really nice meal - tasty, beautifully presented, served by attentive, well-trained staff who knew the difference between service and servile. Deeson's... More

In Canterbury to meet up with my young cousin whose boarding house is close by and who we'd promised a good meal for his birthday. He brought a couple of school mates and all three were insistent that Deeson's was the best for food and laid back quality. (How would they know?). Not sure why we trusted three edgy angst... More
