We called in and took advantage of the reasonably priced lunch offer of £7.95 for 2 courses. We ordered grilled hake and took in the stunning views. When it came, the fish was a big disappointment. It had certainly not been freshly grilled, it looked more like reheated fried fish of indeterminate age and type.. We ordered our dessert and... More

Thank you very much for your feedback following your visit to the Dandelion Café at Freshwater Bay. We are very sorry that you were disappointed with the service you received. All of our food is cooked to order, which means that there will inevitably be a short wait whilst it is prepared. We have however taken steps to quicken up... More

This place used to be good until the staff changed!! Where's the girls that were there before?! In terms of food, they've clearly got a good chef but I think what's happening is the people behind the counter are letting them down. Somehow they talk about everything but what they should do, they are rude and simply arrogant. It seems... More

I much prefer writing positive reviews, and I tend not to want to spend the time on places I will never return to. But having noticed others have had poor service I thought I'd add my story. On the surface the place looked nice and we thought we'd have a nice view with a light meal. The idea of it... More

First of all let me say that i really want to love this place. Its difficult to find some where to pop in for a quick lunch on the west side of the island and this place at first glance was a real find. The first time we went to Dandelions (January) we where incredibly impressed with the coffee and... More

great view, nice place to take the parents. sadly not DOG FRIENDLY despite being the most amazing location for passing dog walkers. nice toasted current buns, odd that the coffee cups have no handles.

lovely views , that's all, very disappointing, staff were terrible, mixed up our orders, only four of us, and it was a quite lunch time, staff kept complaining the kitchen was to far from the dining area, we had one meal at a time being served, and then it was not what we ordered, or was missing, waitress said she... We found the cafe by accident and was pleasantly surprised. The waiting staff were very helpful especially with our gluten free requests for our little girl. The protons were generous and good value. We would recommend the roast turkey.Nice little play area in the garden too. They were the most accommodating of all the cafes on the island with regards to gluten free food,as... I only came here for a pot of tea after a lovely Autumn walk and wanted to try somewhere different from Dimbola Lodge. My friends and I chose a table on the terrace overlooking the Bay. I glanced at the cakes but was not impressed or tempted and so decided to just have some tea. It was served on a... More
