Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front, it consistently achieves awards such as the AA Rosettes and has been listed as one of the Top Ten Healthy Eating Restaurants in the U.K by Channel 4. The décor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £40 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

I went recently with some friends - as haven't been for a couple of years - and was very disappointed. It used to be so much better. Portions smaller than I remembered, prices abit steep and just not that tasty. More

I have been a vegetarian for 25 years and wanting to go to Terre A Terre for several years, last night I finally got to go and now can not wait to go back! Everything was fantastic our waitress was really friendly and knowledgable of the foods making excellent recomendations for our carnivorous guests, the service was timed well allowing... More

Delicious flatbread starter (perfectly spiced) and great mains and puddings. Service was a perfect combination of charming and friendly, and unintrusive. A really nice experience, delighted even my carnivorous boyfriend. More

the food was good but nothing more than that. High prices, very crowdy, bad coffee. If you wanna tatse some good veggiefood, You may try Cuisine Ou'vert in Gent when you're visiting Belgium. That's high rated veggie food. More

Amazing vegetarian food. We hadn't visited for a couple of years so we really took our time over the menu, deciding what to eat - but we made the same mistake we had previously made and ordered too much! The selection of starters to share is really fabulous, with two of each of about 5 starters. Each element was so... More

We ate here a year ago and were worried that Terre-a-Terre might be resting on it laurels, and at the same time moving up from the "expensive" to the "silly" price bracket. I am very happy to say that no such tendencies were apparent this time. The three-course pre-theatre menu at £21 was pretty good value, and the food had... More

A birthday treat justified a long awaited return, the food is full of flavour, contrasting textures and unusual combinations. The rostis are particularly enjoyable as does the calorie busting chocoholic platter. The decor and overall ambience is upper mid range, a little serious. So most of our dishes for our party worked well. The cheeseboard at close too a tender was... More

We booked this after reading reviews and taking a look at the menus on the website. We get so fed up of going to a restaurant and getting a choice of one or if we're lucky two dishes usually which include mushrooms or aubergines which my husband hates. So to be handed a huge menu with so many exciting dishes... More

Really nice creative vegetarian food. Yummy taste and service. We found the menu a bit overwhelming with choice but the tapas lunch offer was good and got us to try and taste about 5 different things. Totally recommend, specially for veggie food lovers. More
