Excellent food in a mediterranean feeling bistro. Very lively but not too noisy compact but not sitting on each others knees! Have been here a number of times and never been disappointed with the food or service over the years. If you are in Brighton worth a visit. More

Gingerman is the most fantastic restaurant I've ever been to. Not only is the food impeccable, the service is too and I have never found fault with it. We keep going back! Jamie and his team do a brilliant job - nothing is too much trouble and everyone is received with a warm welcome! They do a lovely lunch menu... More

We had such a lovely evening here. We booked ages ago online and were glad to receive a message on the day checking we were still wishing to eat there - a nice touch! The waiting staff were fab - really friendly but not overly familiar - just the right balance. We ate delicious food and drank tailored wine by... More

Amazing meal, 3 courses for a very reasonable £35 per head considering the quality !! Best left for a special occasion !! 9 plates between the 3 of us and not a pick left on any plate !! The raspberry souffle dessert was spectacular !! More

After reading complimentary reviews by other TripAdvisor members, my husband and I were delighted to try the fare at Gingerman restaurant in Brighton. This is a quiet, sophisticated little restaurant with the perfect atmosphere for good conversation, and the service provided by Paul and Jasmine was exceptional. We highly recommend the assiette of lamb as a main course, and the... More

Good value and very pleasant. It can get a bit crowded as it is very small. But lovely atmosphere, chance to dress up a bit and try some fancy dessert wine. The cheese souffle is great. More

Overall this was a very good experience but there a few things they could do better. The olives and amuse bouche consisting of a little cup of delicious butternut squash soup were welcome and the bread was wonderful but why couldn't they have brought it at the same time as the olives rather than only just before the first course?... I had not been to the Gingerman for a couple of years. We went on a Friday evening having booked well in advance. Service was friendly but extremely slow. Two people cannot take the orders, serve and keep up with the needs of thirty diners. The poached quail's egg on my starter was solid having sat under a heat lamp... More

By far and away the best restaurant I've been to in Brighton - amongst the best in the country in my opinion. The care and the detail that goes into the menu and food preparation shows a real committment to delivering quality. The service was just right. The ambience cosy and intimate. It's not any more expensive per se than... More
