Four of us were visiting Dartmouth for the afternoon and we stopped at the Dolphin Inn to have a late lunch. The food was good (crab sandwiches which came with salad and fries and steak ciabatta which also came with salad and fries). It was all very good - and freshly made. The portion sizes were large and it was... More

As recent hungry travellers to beautiful Dartmouth, we arrived in the town at lunchtime, and chanced upon the Dolphin Inn. The bar itself was quite pleasant, and the warm day meant that the doors were opened invitingly, allowing a pleasant breeze. We were pleasantly served with a few drinks whilst we browsed the extensive bar menu. As we were in... More

Signage had a draw factor but place felt relatively dirter, and the food left a lot to be desired. My husband felt his burger had a strong microwave feel, and I didn't expect to get sliced bland tasting rubber cheese in a sandwich described to be 'devon cheddar' - how to insult a whole county! Couldn't wait to leave...say no... More

This pub doesn't look very exciting but is homely and friendly inside. At first sight the food looks to be pretty average pub grub, but with dishes which are interesting and different, the food offer is very pleasing. For example, the Regatta Platter has mainly cold dishes but with hot squid and calamari. That with a bowl of chips is... More

On the corner of Market Street, opposite Monty Halls Experience shop. The food has traditional pub grub as well as fish soups and platters and steaks etc. The fish and chips we had were very good and a good size. All the portions of food seen being taken to other tables were a good size but it is the quality... More

We ate here over the Easter holidays whilst on a short break to Paignton and had only popped in to see if they were dog friendly! We stayed!! The staff (and customers!) were so friendly and helped us find a table, as downstairs is quite small and dogs are not allowed upstairs. The food was great, on the expensive side,... More

The menu had us all interested right from the start and it was so hard to decide what to have it all sounded so good. There were 7 of us 4 adults and 3 kids. I've NEVER heard my lot so quiet eating before EVER. Everyone was silently enjoying every bite. Even my youngest(4) ate everything on the plate. I... More
