My boyfriend and I had visited Newquay for a week and we wanted to do something special on the last day of our holiday, and id been hearing about this place for months and was very pleased to be able to get a reservation on a Friday night!! Upon arrival I ordered a glass of wine (very reasonable) and my... More

This restaurant is right on Newquay harbour a perfect place to lunch or eat a delicious fish supper at the end of the day. I eat here with my family whenever we come to Newquay. The food is great, the service has always been efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing meal. I love to watch... More

We have visited this restaurant 3 times now and we make it a must to go for a meal here when ever we visit cornwall. Forget the big names like Rick Stein this is on of the best restaurants ever. The food is always to a great standard and I can't recommend the fruits der mer enough. We ordered one... More

What an experience...we had been saving a visit to the restaurant for a special occasion, so when my sister came to stay I thought what a lovely place to go, lovely location and surely what would be the tastiest freshest fish served by friendly staff. Such a shame that the reality was somewhat different. First came the wait, everything was... More

As we've said to your sister below, we are confused by the facts in these reviews. Again, in this review you say you had scallops? We didn't actually have them on the menu at that time. I'm sorry you feel this was neccesary so many months after your experience which we agree sounds like it was at a different restaurant.... More

I visited this restaurant with my sister and her partner. I must say I did have quite high expectations as being a coastal resort you would expect the freshest seafood of all. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly empty, which always rings alarm bells for me especially as it was a Saturday night. The location is lovely overlooking the... More

Hi there, we are very sorry to read this negative review and a little surprised. Firstly at the timing, 7 months is a long delay and also that the two reviews came up in tandem so some kind of corroboration occured after months to review at the same time. Clearly such a delay will have queries around accuracy. We respond... More

The location here was lovely - overlooking the sea - but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The fish - as you'd imagine was good. The meat dishes, however, were a little overdone and disappointing. Also it was FREEZING in there. It was April - so we were expecting it not to be tropical - but we... More

Booked to celebrated dads birthday and it was so perfect. Laid back, efficient service, stunning views, hard to choose from menu as all looked delicious, it was ! Children welcomed and catered for and they can choose between watching chefs at work or playing on the beach watching the boats. We ate muscles ,sole ,crab ,sardines and monkfish which were... More

The setting is perfect, looking out onto the harbour but even better is the seafood! I would absolutely recommend the fruit de mer, the half lobster was enough to feed 3 people easily! I must add the mussels were some of the best I've had, really fresh! Definately make a reservation as it gets pretty busy. More

A quaint, unassuming little place right down in the marina bay... Lovely setting with a great atmosphere and service. The best seafood platter I've had in a long time - and I've had them all over the World - and only £40! Great value and do much flavour. First visit to Newquay but if I return, this will be my...
