Food was OK. Only OK. Far too expensive for what we got. The fish was advertised as freshly caught today, but was rubbery and the seafood marinere was average. Not fresh at all, small frozen prawns, fish looked like it was from the supermarket and mussels were tiny. Defintiely not worth £22 or £16 for the fish trio. We did... More

What a find this restaurant was! The food is all locally sourced from "family" farms and butchers, which really adds to the quality and taste. We were told Steve, the chef, catches the fish fresh every morning! The menu was lovely and varied with a few twists on classics, but most importantly everything was super fresh and deliciously prepared. The... More

We were first time visitors to Newquay and had no idea where to eat. Walked past Butcher's Bistro several times as we explored the area and weren't impressed from theoutside. But we checked the testaurant on Tripadvisor and were glad we did. Food was very good (tiger prawn starter, plaice for main course.) Service also good. Would go back if... More

We have been visiting here every time we go to Newquay - it truly is a little Cornish gem! This time, it was just my partner, our 5 year old son and I. We rang to book a table in our way down and Mel remembered us from 2 years ago which was lovely! the meat and fish are all... More

Really good homely food. We had a fish starter, and mushroom with apricots which was very tasty. Then a steak, and cajun chicken both with homemade chunky chips that were stacked beautifully. Would recommend this deceptively spacious little place. Lovely service. More

I can't say that at the prices we paid that I would be in a rush to return. Price has to be relevant and when you pay the best part of £20 per main course I would expect more than the simple steak and chips and lamb and mash we received. It was pleasant enough food but like I say... More
