This restaurant seemed so inviting on a warm, summery afternoon about 5:30 pm -- they have a conservatory-type roof at the front so you're sort of sitting outside but protected if it rains. The rest of the restaurant wraps around you like a u-shape. It was really pleasant, sitting at a table and watching the world go by with a... More

This does not seem like the "chain" restaurant it is (we have eaten at their London establishment several times). We ate there on a Saturday night. We wrongly assumed that we wouldn't need a reservation that night (after all, it was exam week at the University). We tried to get a table at several places and were typically told that... More

We've been to Browns on several occasions. The food and service is much better with smaller parties than large groups. We enjoy the bar area and the drink specials are good value. More

Arrived Saturday 12th. May 2012 at 4.15 p.m. Restaurant half full, asked for a table for 5. Head waiter mumbled and shuffled papers before, after a couple of minutes, showing us to a table set for 4. The table was situated very close to the waiters/waitresses station and throughout the meal our chairs were constantly brushed against and nudged. After... More

Just come back from a wonderful evening at this restaurant. Friends of my wife and I had recommend this as a good place to have a good meal and they were certainly right. We started off with some cocktails and hadn't booked a table as being a Monday night assumed it would be quite. After 30 minutes at our table... More

In the past I have always enjoyed Browns in several of their locations. The ambiance and the buildings are good but the food has slowly been slipping. It used to be good value and generous. It is now bad value and mean. We ordered a salad for about £10 which, I was assured, was a main course size. It had... More

Good food and service - but be prepared that it is rather noisy. More

Cocktails very good and staff helped to find just the right one. Food is ok but always seem to run out of certain choices. Staff always friendly. More

We were a second siting and I love the principal of this restaurant but the reality fails to match up. It is trendy, vibrant and full of people enjoying themselves so why my poor review? The noise level is ridiculously high, as an example only the dance music beat can be heard over the throng, conversation is difficult and shouted.... More

We are big fans of Browns in Leeds so happy to try the Cambridge branch. The decor and staff uniforms are very similar. At first we were disappointed as we were left a while to order. Once we did get the waitresses attention we didn't have a problem. The service was probably the best part. We had two different flat... More
