As soon as i walked through the door i thought I had just stepped into Marrakech! The restaurant has a fantastic feel to it and i was surrounded by Tagine Bowls, the scent of Africa and fabulous fabrics from the city itself! The food was also superb and made by a chef from Assilah himself! Not only is both the... More

This is a great place to eat and relax with friends. The staff are always friendly and the food is consistently great. I love the tagines packed with meat/fish or beans and lots of veg - so healthy and always tasty. The atmosphere is informal with people relaxing over another glass of wine or some mint tea or coffee. *... More

My partner and I went in here frequently around 2006/7 but moved to the other side of Bristol and didn't get a chance to visit again until we decided to go out for my 26th Birthday with a couple of friends. The food was as tasty as we remembered with lamb which melted in our mouths in a tangy sauce.... More

My partner and I have been eating at Assilah for years, love it and try to go at least once a month. It is a traditional Moroccan restaurant, but with the added advantage of being very friendly, warm and informal. They serve excellent Moroccan food, both vegetarian and meat dishes are delicious and all freshly cooked by their Moroccan chef.... More

Assilah bistro is situated on the Wells Road, approximately a 10-15 minute journey from the centre of Bristol; with its exotic Moroccan decor and ambience adds further colour to the characterful district of Totterdown. The owner and front of house staff are friendly and welcoming creating a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Assilah offers a choice of eating areas, one fairly... More
