Description: Among Bristols premier restaurants, The Muset by Ronnie is a casual but special setting for occasion dining or a foodie treat in the attractive and moneyed city suburb of Clifton. With its boldly patterned wallpaper, bar style furnishings and retro fixtures and fittings chrome lamps, 70s-esque clocks The Muset has a young, laid back atmosphere matched by the fashionable 20- and 30-somethings who have quickly made this their favourite haunt. Chef David Underwood is the man making things happen behind the scenes here at The Muset, closely mentored by acclaimed helmsman Ronnie Faulkner of Ronnies in Thornbury, the massively successful sister restaurant of The Muset, and with help from front of house manager Jonathan Bowker. For special occasions, The Muset by Ronnies Chefs Table is a must. Here in a private setting (with a BYOB policy to reflect The Musets history as one of Bristols first fine dining spots in a time when visitors were required to bring their own drinks), guests can watch the kitchen at work on overhead screens for an added thrill and a glimpse in to the restaurants engine room.

The food was very well prepared and very tasty and, even though we knew to expect a large bill, we couldn't help feel slightly disappointed with what we received given how much we had spent. The service was a bit on the slow side. And, despite paying £11 each for our starters and £32 for our mains, we were also... More

having dined at Ronnies in Thornbury on many enjoyable occasions since its opening, my wife and i decided to try Ronnie's new restaurant for a mid week lunch from the a la carte menu. The food was even better than at Thornbury. the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the other diners created a "buzz" of enjoyment. We will definitely... More

Nicely furnished and decorated, the restaurant is stylish and modern. Fixed price Sunday roast was a choice of only one meat, ( or offal, fish or veggie ) which I thought a bit limited. At £21 per head for two courses, also thought it a bit expensive, particularly with service charge added on top of this. However, the roast was... More

Ate here with my wife mid-week. We ate from the a la carte menu because we preferred the dishes on offer but I think next time we visit we'll go for the tasting menu because it's amazing value when you realise how good the food is here. The food is simply fantastic. Every course impressed, each dish well balanced and... More

Had to wait for our table after booking, but was worth the wait. Service food and value was all to be had especially like the ambiance of the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal as did my guest and will be returning. Thank you and best wishes to the chef. More

The food was excellent and the service very good. We were seated in a nice room with some other guests and it got a bit noicy later on the night. If you´re looking for more quiet I suggest you come early in the evening. More

Dined here recently with friends and enjoyed the 7 course chef's taster menu. Couldn't fault the food, each course was beautifully presented and combined genuinely creative ingredient combinations. The restaurant is tastefully decked out including a cool bar area. We had a fairly private booth which worked well for our party of 6 but could tell there was a good... More
