Have eaten in 24 of the top 100 restaurants on the Bristol list. This is easily the best, for atmosphere, food, service, and value for money. More

I cannot recommend this gem of a restaurant enough. My partner and i have eaten there several times in the last few months, both as a romantic meal for two and as part of a group of 4 and the food and service is consistently excellent. Go and try it out! More

A little gem hidden away at the far end of Clifton Village, albeit with a distinguished pedigree - was once "Floyds" where the late TV chef first started. Reasonable portions (though maybe not for trenchermen) , quite complicated with multiple components, really tasty, and at reasonable prices for the quality. Not quite top quality but excellent value, especially as It... More

We had a lovely meal here on a Sat night in Feb. The steak was perfectly cooked, wasn't a massive fan of the chips. The venison main was stunning. BYO is a great idea. Was slightly chilly downstairs - no fire / heater. Will definitely try to return and would recommend. More

I went here with my boyfriend for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised. It was completely unpretensious and had a very relaxed and warm atmosphere. Even though it is quite small, it didn't feel cramped at all but created a lovely cosy environment. The prices aren't cheap but you pay for quality and the food here is fantastic. Fresh, delicious... The Clifton Kitchen is a very nice independent restaurant in Clifton. The food was good, my friend had the steak which he declared among the best he's ever tasted. The staff were friendly but the service was a little erratic. I'm being picky, it's a much better bet than some of the other restaurants in Clifton - especially the chains... More

This is a really nice little restaurant - and it is little - with only a handful of tables upstairs and downstairs. I would ask for a table upstairs as the tables downstairs are quite dark and it can get noisy if there are lots of people down there. The menu was quite limited ( they said that a fish... More

Four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Clifton Kitchen. The menu is concise but varied: a couple of fish, couple of game, meat and a veggie, the prices are very reasonable. We had a duck starter that was delicious, the mains of venison with roast parsnips was amazing - really tasty and perfectly cooked. The steaks were also... More
