Description: At The Living Room our focus remains on sourcing the best quality ingredients, preparing them simply and delivering bags of flavour and texture on the plate. This is good, honest, robust and stylish food with its origins firmly in the European tradition with international touches. There is nothing frilly or fancy. A selection of Home Comforts - bangers and mash, fish and chips – are designed for easy eating yet there are also more elaborate dishes like 'Line caught yellow-fin tuna, seared and peppered with lemon aioli and baby herb salad'. Small plates - such as wok fried edamame beans or Italian olives – allow for casual snacking while sandwiches and salads enable one-course, easy and casual dining. All-day opening is designed to facilitate easy access and reinforces a core ethos behind The Living Room; you, the customer, is the one empowered to make decisions and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to do that, enjoy it and be comfortable.

I have been into The Living Room a number of times, both for food and drinks. This time I was out for my birthday with about a dozen friends. We had not booked a seating area, but when we arrived and explained the circumstances, we were given an area near the front of the building for exclusive use. The building... More

Seven of us had an early evening booking. After a slow journey to our table, we had an attentive waiter who was very pleasant. We opted to eat from the very competitively priced set menu (£8 for 1 course, £11 for 2 courses and £14 for 3 courses). The food was very good - especially for the price we paid.... More

I'll start on a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here, but that was mostly down to the company, the service, atmosphere and drinks. The main reason for us visiting was for dinner, and unfortunately the food was the let down. Kicking off with £2.75 for a tiny portion (6 or 8) of very plain olives, no stuffing, not... More

Although a little pricey, the Living Room offers the best atmosphere out of any of the plentiful harbourside eateries in Bristol. There's a chilled out piano player in the corner (which after hours becomes a DJ booth), and lots of squishy velveteen booths to rest in. The wine is plentiful and excellent, and the food is great to nibble on... More

Myself and 4 friends were looking for a venue that had it all when we had a girly weekend to Bristol, well The Living Room certainly had it all. The minute we stepped through the door we could feel the atmosphere, with a heady buzz of chatter and the painist playing away in the background. We had delicious cocktails before... More

My family and I went for a meal on a Sunday afternoon recently, the food was great and served in good time. The staff were attentive and friendly. As well as this when all having a drink at the bar we were entertained by a magician at the table who was fantastic a pianist was playing too who really added... More

I visited The Living Room, mid-afternoon, whilst staying in Bristol for a couple of nights. We were the only two in there. I thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, my meal and having a live pianist topped of a great afternoon. The only thing I would say is that it was a tad expensive. More

We had our Christmas meal here in December, from the booking process all the way through to when the bill arrived the staff were helpful and attentive. The food was lovely and there was plenty of it. There was a good atmosphere when we were in the downstairs bar before and after the meal. This is one place that I... More
