Stayed at Taboo for a few nights and really enjoyed it. The restaurant has good service, good food and an unbelievable view of the lake.
If you are looking for a special night out don't dine at Elements. The service was deplorable and the food average. I had invited friends to surprise my husband for our 25th wedding anniversary, not to mention that we drove 14 hours for the celebration. I never received my main course, the Caesar salad was the same as the spread... More
We have come to Taboo for several years during the summer. The service at the restaurant this year was terrible. When they say it is casual they mean literally without definite or serious intention; careless or offhand. Some of the menu items are very good but the menu is not extensive. Unfortunately the eating options at the resort are limited... More
Looking for a special night enjoying many different small courses with friends? Reserve for the "Culinary Theatre" at Taboo Resort. This is located within the main dining room, but separated from the tables and having its own ovens etc right in front of you. Chef Kevin and chef Rory combine unique flavours that are delightful. The whole evening was a... More
We came to taboo for new years. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere but is very modern. The food was great- I had scallops and artichoke soup with shrimp! Our server did not miss a beat. One of the best parts was the sommolier choose amazing wine for us. I highly reccomend to try this for a romantic evening or... More
We just finished our meal at Elements at Taboo Resort. Our service was absolutely excellent, we could not have been happier. The food was excellent and came out at a perfect pace. We would recommend this place to everyone! We were there Oct 15,2012.
We stayed at Taboo for 3 nights recently and enjoyed the resort but not the food. We ate at the Boathouse for dinner and was disappointed. The atmosphere was pretty with a view of the lake. We had the Clubhouse (burnt bread and overcooked chicken) and the Burger (again overcooked and dry). For the prices Taboo charges it was definitely... More
We stayed at Taboo resort 19th to 22nd June. It is an upscale place, which means upscale prices. We knew this ahead of time and made a decision to eat at least one meal in the main restaurant. We celebrated a birthday. The food, as expected was very good. I had the eggs florentine and my wife had blueberry flaxceed... More
We visited the Taboo Resort restaurant with friends. Absolutely brilliant :) Excellent food Excellent staff Great location
Elements is the fine dining restaurant in the Taboo resort. It is expansive and has many tables overlooking Lake Muskoka. The food was good on one occasion, but bad on the second. The prices are sky high for this area$250. for two with a bottle of wine. The wine mark up is high too. You start with a bread basket and...
