Went back recently and much to my pleasant surprise.....it was great ! Good food, good service....too bad it.s in the middle of an industrial area....which, if improved, could rival ANYTHING Yaletown or similar had to offer...... Calamari was delicious, crab cakes too, fair beer selection..and this time , i was offered a Glass !!

Visited many times. View always changing with river traffic, birds, and fishing season. Good weather helps too. Comfortable outdoor section; one part enclosed another open...warm blankets provided on those cooler days. Good selection of beers...had the Nike and J's with calimari for appie. Beer really good, calimari not crispy enough. Waitress informative on types of beer. Nine or so small... More

Don't make a snap decision based on poor reviews. Remember, there are always two sides to every story. The Kingfisher is a unique bar & grill, with a restaurant on one side, bar/lounge on the other. When parents arrive with children they may not realize that. That means adults may be seated before you because they can go to the... More

I used to go to Kingfisher's on a regular basis. Lately I have been noticing a decline in service, takes longer to get seated, longer to get food or your bill. Went with a party of 4 last Friday night (April 12th 2013). We arrived at 6pm and were told we would be seated within a half hour for a... More

Told us 1/2 hour for table... chose to stay... after 1 1/2 hours admitted had no idea when we could get a table (we got there at 6pm), denied giving us an estimate, hostess had the IQ of a plate of nachos.. We've been going there for 5 years, and will never set foot there again!@

We went on a Friday night and happened to catch the Friday night Blues Jam. The food was great as we started with an appetizer along with an excellent line up of craft beer from Crannog Ales, Howe Sound Brewing, Red Racer (Central City Brewing) and quite a few other great breweries. The wine and drinks selection is great too.... More

I am not in the habit of commenting on any kind of pub food. Deep fried grub, the usual kind of food that sends the cholesterol into orbit is not my first choice. However, on Easter weekend, my son and I found ourselves looking for something a little different and ended up in an out of the way pub in... More

My husband and I went to this restaurant on Family Day for lunch with my brother and sister-in-law. We stopped going for awhile since we found it to be very noisy and the food and service were sub par. When I read recent reviews I found out that it was under new ownership so we decided to give it a... More

such a great place to enjoy a good meal and great view of the river. the food is spectacular. we enjoyed the 3 for $25 last night. chicken parmesan was wonderful. food is tasty and fresh, not the mass produced feeling you get so often. each meal tastes individually created.

Stopped coming here for awhile after poor service and over priced lacking food. Have revisited it and so far a great improvement. The fish & chips is our favorite thing to get here and the craft beers are always great. Service is good, the only thing I have noticed is the music selection is a bit strange and not really... More
