I ate there yesterday as we were traveling through. Fried clams and fries with a Pepsi came to $21. The fries were frozen, and store bought. With a sign reading 'best seafood in North America', I would expect they would at least have homemade fries. The clams were good but definitely not the 'best', and the portion size would make a... I can agree that the prices at Ossie's may seem high. That said, the food here is great if you've just pulled in off the road and are looking for fried fish and chips (or fried clams). Everything is cooked to order and hot when you get it. The food is tasty and eaten at picnic tables. It's not fancy... More

Disappointed in the portions and value at this place. We could have had a served meal on the water in St. Andrews for what we paid for frozen commercial french fries and fish. The fish was fairly good but the portions were very small and the fries were just commercial and way too few. The locals say if you want... More

it looked like a movie set the high sign above the secondary highway the picnic tables surrounding the place I did the whole tourist question bit and tried a bit of everything as I paid, I thought, gosh, this better be worth 32 bucks for two (it was a lot of stuff) and we waited and waited some more finally,... We went here twice in one day. They boast the best seafood in North America. If you like fried clams and the like, you can not go wrong. Not cheap, but very good portions. Cash only, but there is an ATM on site. More

we were there years ago(not what is says above)...and have been longing to get back ever since. it was BY FAR the best fried seafood we have EVER had. honest ...we have never had anything even approaching the intense (good) flavor of their food. i hate to give this review because i dont want it to get so popular that... I'm no connoisseur of fried clams, but I can say that Ossie's fried clams were tasty. The fish chowder was average. The ice cream was delectable. I recommend, and I will return if in the area. More

Ok travellers, take it from me, a lifelong (40 year) New Brunswicker, there are no better whole fried clams in all of the east coast! There's a reasin they are about $14 just for clams... a nominal amount more for a heaping helping of fries. Caveat, they only take cash here so come prepared. I remember a few years ago... More

I've stopped here 2 or 3 times while traveling between Maine and Prince Edward Island. I have always enjoyed their fried clam plate-great clams and fries, etc. You can eat in your car or grab one of the many picnic tables they have there. All in all, it's an old-fashioned roadside food destination of the type that you see less... More
