I have been eating at the Clam Bucket for 8 plus years now and too be honest I have never been so disappointed in the service, the food, and especially the atmosphere. The music is almost always intrusive, and difficult to carry conversation over. The general style they are trying to go for is far too mixed, they need to... More

Went for lunch. At our table, we had calamari and prawns. It was all greasy and we were served way too much. Maybe if the servings were smaller, the price could go down some. Salad had too much dressing and garlic bread didn't taste much like garlic. This is the third and probably last time we go there.

One of the best restaurants on the island. Huge portions and very reasonable prices. Seafood it super fresh and prepared perfectly. Even the salads and sides are to die for. I particularly love the croquete potatoes...I could eat a plate of those by themselves.

Seems like the food is predone or processed, I just found it gross, it's too bad because I like the location

Very busy and popular restaurant in Port Alberni. Lots of locals there for lunch on a Saturday. We both ordered sandwiches with clam chowder. The chowder was very thick, with not too much seafood in evidence. The sandwiches were served on a choice of bread -we both chose ciabatta which was very fresh and good. My wife's chicken and Brie... Recommended by Hotel and it proved to be great. Wife had the Oysters and I had a steak with Seafood. Very good quality and quantity with a great presentation. Server very helpful and seemed to enjoy her work.

After hearing of this restaurant from a server at the "Blue Coyote" in Palm Springs, we thought we would give it a try so did a 100 kilometre return trip for an early dinner. I had the halibut fish and chips and they were like many in pubs everywhere. My companion had a chipotle salmon dinner which she said was... More

My wife and I go there quite often. The service is above and beyond. The food is delicious, and you get plenty of it. I have never seen anyone finish a meal there, but I have seen a lot of people leaving with take home bags. You really do get that much. Try the Fish and Chips. My personal favorite.

I've been going to the Clambucket for over 6 years now. I've definitely seen inconsistency and lack of preparation in their most basis meal - salad! It seems of late, the salad is being put together by a bunch of kiids. The reason I say this is my kids would put about the same effort in preparing a salad as... More

There is lots on the menu not just great seafood. Had a beef did tonight just like my own at home including artisan bread. The accompanying salad is a meal in itself!
