Everyone with me agreed that the food was tasty enough and the presentation was nice, but the portions were tiny. All four of us left hungry. Recommended if you are on a diet.
Good variety of food including turkey and beef as well as breakfast items. Menu looked interesting but did not end up trying other meals there
We decided to eat at Vic's steakhouse one night as it looked nice inside the restaurant. The waitress upon arrival was rude and said I should have waited to be seated! I had sat down just before the rest of my family came in. She took the order and when the food arrived two of the dishes ordered were luke... More
The meals for our conference were supplied by Vic's. I am not sure, but when the meals are all buffet style and self serve water to drink, it is a stretch to call it a restaurant. More like an all you can eat buffet. We loaded up our plates in the central corridor, went in to the seating area and... More
Others had dined there the night before and spoke quite highly of the food and service. On the night we went, the service was an absolute disgrace with there being too few staff on duty. They had a private function in another room which meant the waitresses disappeared for long spells, when not admiring themselves. Half an hour after placing... More
The food is OK and the service is great but there is a tendency to overcook things. If you go there concentrate on the appetizers as they are much better in my humble opinion an the mains. In particular the pulled pork nachos.
Chelsea served us the first time we visited the restaurant, and she was so friendly and helpful with the gluten free food she served us, that we returned 6 days later and this time, Stephanie served us. She was also wonderful. And the food was very tasty. We loved it there, and felt truly welcomed by these 2 young ladies.... More
The bruschetta flatbread along with the zucchini sticks (with their dipping aioli) was amazing. Caesar salad was good as well. The outdoor seating is very relaxing and when you are finished your meal the waitstaff offers you to relax by the fireplace outside. Our waitress was very informative and made us feel welcome- not rushed by any means. I expected... More
The steaks were ok. It is pretty hard to ruin good Alberta beef . The server offered 2 types of mushy potatoes.. a simple baked potatoe was not available even tho there were few people in the room. So we were served lukewarm scalloped potatoes. The atmosphere was more like a highway hotel restaurant but the prices were like Hy's.
My steak was bigger than I expected and done to perfection. The potatoes (in béchamel sauce) I could have eaten for breakfast as well!
