Locals rave about this place and while we were in Tahoe we went to two different locations, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The lunch was not great but everyone said that they specialize in breakfasts, so we tried it again. It was worse than the lunch. the toast was actually burned and the eggs were undercooked. Went there because a local lady recommended it. I found it to be just another over crowded cafe with a very young following, "diner" quality food and the typical california prices.
My breakfast was typical bacon and egg run-of-the-mill breakfast and to break it down the BACON IS FABULOUS! Everything was cooked to order except the hash browns were mushy...

We ate at the new Red hut on ski run street and the place was very modern and building looked newer than photos show on here. Great food for a good price . nice menu choices and eggs and bacon cooked perfectly.

Service is unmatched. Oh, those scrawny...

waffles and bannana pancakes....great! Recommended by the inn that we stayed at. Definitley recommend to start your day.
We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from a fabulous snowboarding trip. This is a tiny little restaurant with a charming, cozy, old-timey diner feel. There are lots of tasty breakfast and lunch items to choose from. We were there for breakfast so I ordered the pecan waffles which were absolutely delectable -- super light and fluffy with...
