The Vietnamese restaurant is the best in Canberra. The food is Authentically Vietnamese. Also fresh, delicious, using seasonal ingredients. Extensive menu, without being confusing. Great service, personal, friendly, genuine, attentive. Excellent value for money.I have travelled to Vietnam and sampled the cuisine,so i know just how good Vietnamese food can be. This is the same and it is great value as well. The walls are papered with... More

Tables are placed very close together so not good for intimate dining - more of a cheap and cheerful place. The menu is varied and interesting and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantities.

There is a temptation to think of Green Square, Civic and Manuka as the main places to eat - but five minutes away from Manuka in a suburban strip of shops this modest, simple, seemingly typically Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. But it is a cut above your suburban Vietnamese place and compares favorably with some of the better places in Saigon's District... More

Busy, bustling, but wonderful food. You will probably need to book. It's worth visiting for the reviews on the wall from a variety of VIPs and politicians.

GV is overhyped among Canberrans - and doesn't warrant a visit. Rumoured to have some of the best food in Canberra (which is probably right) it has simple, very bland dishes that more so resembles outback Chinese restaurant fare than any authentic Vietnamese I've had. Where GV excels is it's rapid food preparation time, however this means food is generally... More

If you like the freshness, fragrance, simplicity and plain deliciousness of vietnamese food, this isn't the place for you. Food is more hybrid Chinese (mainly stirfries, no pho) with that generic overly-sweet flavour and baking soda'd meat. Really disappointing, coupled with distracted, bordering on cold, service.

Don't bother with the menu, just get them to bring out their specials. That way you can try some things you don't usually. Delicious food, good service.

Surprisingly good. Its a small restaurant, which looks like just another Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant, and is priced like it. But the food is just so much better. There is a vast range of choices, and I could have sat there all night, eating until I burst. Yummy doesn't even begin to describe it :)
