Don't know how they cooked it, but it was fabulous. The soup was fantastic also.

Seeing the restaurant being one of the only busy ones in the historical section one night, I decided to try it out. Some of the plates were excellent, while some others were average at best. Service was average to below average. This being said, I would and will still go back on my next trip to Campeche
Excellent food (try cochinita or pollo pibil) and a very friendly service. Good prices.
I ate in this restaaurant 2 years ago and found that they served reasonable local cuisine . This visit I was thrilled to see that someone in the kitchen is bringing the cuisine up to date. They are doing this while maintaining the classic dishes and flavors of Campeche .
We had panuchos with cocinita pibil ,pompano with a great...

Great restaurant and service. Try the baby shark and the beet appetizer. Just be careful that you go when the tour buses don't arrive, although one came in while we were there and we still received great food and service.

Have eaten at Marganzo over 50 times during our 20+ fishing trips to Campeche through Tarpon Town Angles. Love it
Service was painfully slow. Food was average for the price (jaiba quesadilla, filete reina, catch of the day pumpkin flower chevre and shrimp). Mariachi-like trio played in my ear too loud. We were offered free tamarindo margarita which makes things better... does it?
Located a few blocks from the town square, we ate at Marganzo 3 times since it was just 2 blocks from Castlemar. Overall the food was very tasty and reasonably priced, but the service was a bit below average. They had an entensive menu in both English and Spanish. I was a big fan of the Ceviche. The battered shrimp...

First of all, I'm not a fan of "Mexican" (i.e. spicy Tex-Mex) food. I find myself drawn to tourist establishments or the large hotels so I can get food I like.
While we've not travelled extensively in Mexico, we have a home in Merida and the food at this restaurant surpassed anything I've had in Merida. And we eat out...
