Great, friendly pub. Good choice of ales and good value pub grub with decent veggie options. The falafel burger is particularily good. Staff are welcoming and look after you. Local artwork on the walls. Nice beer garden with chainsaw carvings. Pretty hanging baskets. Best thing - dog friendly! What more do you want?

Hubby and I had lunch here this afternoon for the first time. Often pass the picturesque pub and wanted to try it out. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food, very good pub grub and not long to wait. Will definitely return again in the summer with friends and eat in the beer garden weather permitting

Visited last night with friends. The staff couldn't be friendlier and more helpful, however the standard of food didn't live up to the service. Nothing was made fresh and all the food we had was either frozen or from the microwave. The Movenpick ice cream was the only plus point from the meal.
