While we left the truck for an oil change, we braved the chilly wind and walked to Alpine Bakery for soup and bread. Yum! It was Indian Dal soup and a perfect warmup. Nice atmosphere and quality food.

This place has the best bread. They make it all there and they do a wonderful job of sandwiches as well.

The photo is not the Alpine Bakery, unless it's in a meeting room upstairs. The lower floor of this log building houses the bakery and a small restaurant. I'm here two to three times a month to buy organic bread and other wholesome foods. This is a great place to stop for a healthy lunch if you can find a... More

It's true that this picture they are talking about is taken upstairs, I think from a bus tour lunch. In summertime, bus tours can have a lunch upstairs all by themselves. Thanks for the review! More

Healthy bread options fresh from the oven. Gluten free is limited but still available. Very community and environmentally aware. Committed to sending a strong ethical message to all its customers. World class Yoga instructors offer variety of classes upstairs too!

Great breads and soups on the menu. A comfortable place to chat and have lunch with a friend. Free loaf of bread when you buy 3 or 4!

We love the bread - all varieties we have tried have been excellent - with lots of flavor and wonderful texture. We have not eaten from the lunch menu. We have found the other baked goods to be somewhat dry and lacking flavor - so not a perfect score - but the bread is great.

Ok I am German and I need my bread. But not the stuff that is usually called bread in North America. If you can fold it and it is only a tenth of its original size it is not bread. What you get at the alpine bakery are gigantic Cappucino, a decent selection of health foods and really, really good... More

My friend and I got two end-of-day muffins. They were so tasty we were certain we'd be back in the morning for fresh baked ones. Well, after an uncomfortable night of bloating and farts... we decided not to. My friend is female and a health nut. I am a dude and not-so-much with the health. We ate nothing else in... More

Dear AdventureArt, I am really sorry to hear your experience. You are the first customer, in fact, to report such a reaction to our muffins. I suspect you tasted one of our gluten-conscious muffins, which are very high in fiber. We use brown rice, yellow pea and flax flours in these muffins, and if a person is not used to... More
