We had a delicious pot of mussels with frittes, a salad with garlic dressing and brie and fruit. This was a memorable first night in the beautiful city of Quebec!

Café Saint-Malo was located in Lower Town (Basse-Ville) on an antique-store lined street. It was a small establishment that was artfully crammed with small antiques and artwork, including several paintings that were set into the ceiling. The obligatory exposed stone and brick wall gave it an informal, rustic feel.

Wow! This place is exactly what you are looking for in historic Quebec. Cozy, quaint, one server and one cook do it all. Family owned gem caters to quiet conversation and romantic encounters. Go hungry, go when it's cold and sit by the fire and enjoy a hot cup of the soup of the day. If you enjoy mussels with...

We had a lovely cassoulet here and enjoyed the intimacy of the setting. You need to book at busy times as people were being sent away without a reservation as there aren't many tables.

This is a great little restaurant in the lower part of town on St. Paul St. which is a great shopping and antiqueing area. Felt like I was in Europe.
Located in the lower part of Quebec below the walled city. It wasn't easy to find but worth it. This is a small, old, intimate dining room. Two women serve as waitresses and host. Single chef in the kitchen. Serve French classics. Escargot was fantastic. Save some bread to dredge up the garlicy buttery sauce....yum.

Found this via Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Wonderful food and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Would definitely return another time!
We were waling the streets during this past Holiday season and we had no reservations (please make one if you really want to go there) and we past in front of the window of this small restaurant. I had forgotten that I had been there 20 years earlier. The Café restaurant is very small...with a fire place and the staff...
