“dinner outdoors at sofitel's le renoir”

right in the heart of downtown montreal the terrace of le renoir is a great atmosphere and surrounded by beautiful high rise buildings..............the wine list was mostly french but not too dear, the food was great and somewhat unconventionally artsy and delicious...........the staff and management were wonderful, no trace of horrid pier 77 here, the neil gooooooooooooood this way!

this is a great place for lunch, especially in the summer where there is a patio and you can enjoy the lovely weather of Montreal during July. I arrived at the Sofitel after a long day flying from the West Coast and after checking in, found that the restaurant closed in a half hour. Always good feeling in a nice ambiance. Better during summer time. Feeling cold during winter but maybe it's my blood type. Service is implacable, selection of dishes and presentation. Good wine list.

4 of us dined here on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was quiet and we had the oppertunity to chat with the chef who was warm and charming. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, we were all moaning after each bite. All 3 courses were sublime.
