I've only been to Kazu twice. Once with my boyfriend in the Fall, and the second time with my girlfriends on a cold February evening. Both times, I had to wait outside in the cold. The first time I waited 45 minutes and the second time I waited over an hour. I really hate waiting in line, especially when it's... More

Skip the dinner lines and standing in the cold and go for late lunch. food was really good, ramen bowl with pork, fantastic. I need to go back, the was so much more to have. This place is small and cramped, a few tables and a bar around the chef stable, and that's what makes this is good. Great saki,... More

So as usual, my friend and I were traveling to a foreign city with hopes of finding the tastiest and best food for the price in the neighborhood we were in. We saw Kazu, and decided to go. As we got to the restaurant, there was a line out the door; already a great sign that Tripadvisor was spot on!... More

Just excellent - go just before they open for lunch or dinner and wait in line. This is the only way you will get in.

I just love love love this restaurant. Usually, japanese shops are run by chinese or vietnamese people. Kazu is one of the very rare authentic japanese restaurant run by japanese people. They speak japanese among themselves =) The food is amazing. My boyfriend and I shared the tuna steak, it is cruspy outside and really tender inside. We also had... More

We waited about 15 minutes at 6 pm ( we were 2) but the group in front of us (4 of them) had to wait outside because I think there is only 1 table that will sit 4. Food is good ( i mean lettuce, rice , chicken, fish, pork and beef) ! But the sauce they put on the... More

This is simply the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant that does not serve sushi!! It's about time a Japanese restaurant serving meals other than sushi and udon comes to town!!! This is run by a Japanese chef who may not even speak much English nor French. But his dish creations are phenomenal. The menu changes every so often (the... More

Whether it is winter and there is a snow storm, or it is summer and humidity takes over your mind, you will find a long line in front of this tiny Japanese diner. For some it means a no-no, but for others like myself, it is a definite sign that there is something worth the wait inside... I have been... More

This small hole in the wall can be really hard to get in, especially during the university school year. I've only had the patience to wait in line once (no reservations). The food was delicious though. It's both traditional japanese and fusion (if that makes any sense). No sushi. The pork knuckels are delicious, and so are their salads. Not... More
