What a surprise to enjoy such a fabulous meal at this little unpretentious restaurant! The food was gourmet French, the ambiance casual and the service delightful! From the "amuse gueule" to the desserts to die for, I highly recommend this place. This is high level cooking in a venue that is accessible to all.

I bought a Groupon coupon for this restaurant last year, and finally had the chance to go with some friends and we were all very satisfied. When you first enter, you will see the open kitchen where the chef prepares the food. The kitchen is tiny! With the Groupon coupon we were limited to the Chef's surprise menu, so I... More

I created a short list of Montreal restaurants (based largely on Trip Advisor reviews, of course!). I decided on Grenadine and hoped I had chosen wisely. Mission accomplished. It's a small spot, so a reservation is a must. Every table was taken on the Saturday night we were there. A quick reminder that it's a "bring your own wine" establishment... More

I already reviewed this restaurant, but I just went there this weekend again, this time with work colleagues, and I have to state once again what a pleasure this place is!!! I made sure to try different things from the menu once again and everything was ridiculously delicious. My clients were highly impressed as well. I had the steak tartar... More

Like others below, I was torn between keeping it a secret and sharing my enthusiasm for the place... but they really deserve to be known and I couldn't resist ... This is a tiny place in a small street and most Montrealers will never even see the restaurant... but they should ... I have been there 2ice, the last time... More

Grenadine is a happy combination of a democratic, bring-your-own-bottle style with a great team in the kitchen. It's a rarity for chefs in Montreal to achieve that level of mastering the "local" produce (nothing actually grows on that desolate and dingy corner of Ontario Street). The inventiveness, changing menu and creative presentation earn the highest marks. The servers are skillful... More

Similar to the reviewer before me I almost don't want to tell anyone about this place and want to keep it all to myself :). Grenadine is so cozy and cute, buy simple and modern!, perfect for dates. The service is excellent and attentive even in a full house. I went there w two friends, two of us had the... More

This restaurant opened on a Sunday because of the size of the party. They served classic high quality french bistro food with attentive service. As a BYOB the overall cost was reasonable for the quality. Well worth a return visit. None of the taxi services knew where the restaurant was so look for a small burgundy front next to a... More

I don't really want to write this, but on the other hand the chefs do deserve appreciation for their craft.... A small and unassuming restaurant on Hotel-de-Ville at Ontario. We had walked by dozens of times always to see it full, but we never walked in, in spite of the fact that it was just blocks away from our home.... More

This was our second visit to this wonderful restaurant. We had the tasting menu of 5 courses (sample of one soup, two apps, two mains) and each was outstanding. The carrot soup was creamy and flavourful, drizzled with chive oil and a few slices of heirloom carrots. The two appetizers that followed were a tasting of two exquisite tortellini's filled... More
