This place for people who enjoy their meets organic and of the top quality. You can tell that the chef ensures the right cuts of meat is used to make all the dishes. This place is not for everyone as it is quite unapologetic in many ways. The vodka cocktails are excellent - pick of the bunch is the one... More

Authentic, fresh, well-prepared. My favourite Persian restaurant in Toronto. Wonderfully prepared with a great blend of spices.

Lots of locals and Iranians eating here - the most interesting items on the menu not available. Meat heavy, pricy cocktails, good liver, dim lighting for reading. Stumbled across it, which made it worthwhile. Not a destination restaurant.

First off, when we arrived it seemed like a nice place but after when it came to ordering the place became a night mare. The food seemed very appetizing on the menu but when it finally arrived, which took over 40 minutes, you only received a small piece of meat on a stick and a tomato, this was for all... More

I've been in NY for the past couple of years and have not ventured back to Toronto for about two years now. One of my favourite places was Banu, which I think they should open one in NY, not just for me, but I think it would be a wise business decision. I went back after two years and things... More

I have never been treated to badly. The attitude from the beginning was awful. The portions were small and very expensive. Never again, Never again!

The food at Banu is exquisite, well prepared and delightfully spiced. The vodka drinks are tasty and the appetizers particularly interesting. The kabob of filet with walnut pomegranate marinade is delicious but carries a hefty price. Think of this as a place to impress business clients or out of town guest, an indulgence for special occasions or promotions like Summerlicious.... More

I've been there several times, upstairs hall and street level area. Both represent great atmosphere, great people and excellent food quality. Ramsey Gordon should pay a visit there to get his palette acquainted with new tantalizing tastes. It will be an orchestra symphony of taste on your tongue. By the way, on red wine menu they deserve to do better.... More

I'd like to preface this review by saying firstly that I am Persian and have been eating this cuisine for the majority of my life both at home and out. I have also been a cook for the past 15 years, and have worked in the restaurant industry for as many years. We arrived on a slow holiday Monday, besides... More
