The ambiance is the 1st thing you notice. A old Victorian mansion, nicely refurbished. Lunch specials, especially the soups, are always great tasting. The homemade desserts are great, as well. Make sure you phone to reserve as it's hard to get a table without reserving beforehand. A great addition to the Peterborough culinary scene.

It's quaint, quiet and delicious. Bring your mom! Lace table clothes and old charm. The food and the baking are all home made and each room has a different character. One room feels like a gentlemens room.

Had lunch here the other day with my mother. We were very impressed with all aspects of out meal. Food was wonderful, as was the tea and dessert scones. Everything was amazingly fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. We had great service too! I thought the price would be much higher for the quality of the food, but I was... More

A small but very friendly venue. The staff and owner were very helpful and explained all the unique dishes and the ingredients used. The soups, sandwiches, salads, crepes, teas, are all flavourful and presented in an appetizing manner. A welcome break from the usual luncheon fare.

When planning to travel through Peterborough with friends, we made reservations for lunch and were certainly not disappointed on this our second visit. This is a delightful dining room/tearoom in a Victorian home, complete with tables laid with crisp linens. The food is delicious, the pastries are superb and all is served in a professional & friendly manner. Two of... More

My husband and I went to The Magic Rolling Pin last weekend for our Anniversary. We wanted the afternoon tea and made the reservations in advanced as they require reservations for the proper tea. The place was beautiful and quaint and they had an excellent selection of teas. Our tea came with the 3 tiered tray of fresh scones, finger... More
