Sadly Mings has closed. The bad publicity did no help! We never had bad meal there! Hopefully Ming surfaces somewhere else.
I looked in to see what it was about - just run of the mill restaurant - and with the two cases within a month this year of salmonella - run like heck from this place -
Has been shut down twice now just this year by the Health Department. Terrible service, mediocre food. There's too many sushi restaurants in Peterborough to waste your time and money here anyway, go to Matsu for quality or Hockey for all-you-can-eat.
We have travelled from Lindsay and Haliburton specifically to eat at Ming's. We always have experienced excellent food, Ming's special surprises and extra attention to details. We just had a birthday dinner at Mings and it was delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared by Ming himself. I love the feel of this restaurant and how an old coffee shop has been transformed into a lovely space. Entrepreneurial innovation and passion for providing quality food at its best.
The food is wonderful and for a flat price you can eat as much as you want. A great selection of sushi, dim sum and other Asian food. We have been there several times and Ming himself is often making the sushi. All the food is freshly prepared to order. Peterborough really benefits from a restaurant such as Ming’s.
This place is very clean with fresh sushi. They have an all you can eat menu as well as a regular menu. The service was fast and the atmosphere was nice. The prices are reasonable.
This has to be one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been in. It was very good sushi and the service was friendly and fast. I liked it so much I feel like going there right now : )
Took our kids for all you can eat sushi and they were charged by $1 per year of their age. This is a great and pretty fair system. The dim sum was disappointing as it was cooked wrong. No doughey balls, but deep fried or boiled paper like stuff over the insides. I think they didn't think the kids would... More
