I have lived in the city over 30 years.. i have been going to frijoles since they opened.... i would agree more with the last few recent reviews than the older ones thats for sure... dont get me wrong the owners stand by there food, but it is terribly bland which only the habenero tintin sauce can save... taco trio... Messy big portions, yes. Prices, fairly cheap, yes. I'm not lovin' the food though. I expected big bold flavours..didn't happen. I agree with both the last reviews. Flavorless food that is truly a hot mess. Tacos were dry without covering in sauces that are themselves barely average. Its just not that good. Ya i'm sure the high school kids around the corner love a big hot mess for lunch but #1? Come on seriously?????

Try Frijoles. Make it a weekly tradition. Try the Carnitas or Tender Beef - ready much faster and tastes great. The portions are great for the price. Eat in if you can, the music is really suited to the restaurant. Try a glass bottle beverage.
