We dropped into this restaurant because we frequent one with the same name in Charlottetown. Found out they are not directly related (the former owner in Kingston moved to Charlottetown and opened with the same name) but the food is of the same high caliber. Food was ok. Price was decent. Didn't have very much taste to the food. Would try another sushi place in town the next time.
The rolls are tiny, so much rice and not much fish. I felt ripped-off. Maybe if it was a lunch or dinner special bargain, but at full price there are much better options. Only tried the sushi - maybe the noodles or teriyaki are better (didn't try them)? But I wouldn't come here again for sushi.
I found Take Sushi to be overpriced and taking advantage of the fact that there are only two sushi restaurants downtown (both which are lackluster) the sushi here is no better than anywhere else in Kingston. Overall, for this quality of sushi either go to Sakura or Sushi-Q (lunch special)
Take is a popular sushi place in Kingston but the food isn't better than average and not as good as the average Toronto place at a similar price point. The food was wonderful. With cold...
