Totally enjoy having lunch or a "Tea" with special friends at The Boathouse Tea Room in Guelph, Ontario. Lovely setting on the Speed River. Weather permitting, if one chooses, sitting outdoors is an option, If you wish to just have a treat - their desserts - especially ice cream cones - so many flavours form which to choose. Another treat... More

We had a really nice lunch at the Boathouse. The portions were ample, tasty and well-presented. The waitress was very nice and efficient. The location is wonderful, especially as the weather just happened to be fantastic. We would definitely return.

The Boathouse is a piece of Guelph history and now run as a tea room. It is right by the water giving a country atmosphere right by the water. My wife and I had the “Gluten Free” tuna melt with a spiced tea and enjoy it very much.

This seasonal cafe is situated in an historic river boathouse at the confluence of the Speed and Eramosa Rivers adjacent to parkland and a canoe/kayak rental. In addition to the busy take-out ice cream counter in the front there's a dining room featuring quirky recycled furnishings. They have a fine selection of teas and coffee and delicious desserts. Their lunch... More

I have been here several times for lunch. The menu offers fresh, unique and healthful sandwiches, salads and wraps that are top notch! For that, and the very unique atmosphere and location beside the river, I would give 4.5 stars. But we really wanted to try the high tea, which when served looks beautiful on a multi tiered tray. Unfortunately,... More

Refreshing change from all the coffee bars around Guelph. They have a nice selection of teas and can blend your own at a reasonable price compared to those ritzy places at the mall. Nice ice cream bar and canoe rentals to take in the lazy river!

The very best thing about THE BOATHOUSE is that it really IS a boathouse. We were lucky enough to be able to snag a canoe for 3-- lightweight, easy to row, and such a gorgeous stretch of water and scenery. So make your reservations before you go and don't be disappointed. Now for the food: basically, the specialty here is... More

Absolutely beautiful view of the Speed River, great menu - food was delicious. Went on the advice of a friend who had thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Boathouse. With once difference - The Service - They had a delightful server, who made their visit a delight. We - however - had Miss Sullen - a rather inattentive, unpleasant, brunette... More
