Big fan of Japanese food and especially sushi. This place is really bad. Sushi and noodles were horrible.
As a vancouverite I come here whenever I'm craving a dish of great sushi. The rolls are outstanding and the sashimi fresh and great. Make sure to try their Tobiko fried rice, spicy tuna sashimi platter, and specialty rolls. Lunch prices are extremely reasonable, 13 bucks gets you a specialty roll meal. Excellent food, a go to for myself and... More
From the outside this restaurant is very unassuming. The menu is large and varied. Knowing what you like before you go in would be helpful. It took a while before our waitress bothered to come and see if we would like tea to start, not to mention any other beverages. It seemed as if we were forgotten in a corner... More
My family and I have eaten at this excellent Sushi eatery in Kerrisdale a number of times now. Whenever we are at BC Children's for an appt we head here first. If you get there at the right time (before the major lunch rush) the service is quick and the food is excellent. Some if the best Sushi I've had... More
Very impressive food. I'm a big fan of Japanese food and tend to be picky when it comes to sushi but Shota passed the test! Make sure to try their specialty rolls. Service was slow, though. My friend had to wait a long time for a refill of water and I waited more than 15minutes for my grilled mackerel.
Looking to try a new Kerrisdale Sushi restaurant and stumbled upon Shota to discover a casual atmosphere and decor that were surprisingly nice and comfortable with very good food! We tried a varied sampling of sashimi, sushi and grill and were more than happy with each and every order. Unfortunately though, the service was a touch on the slow side,... More
Geoduck roll! *Le Adore*

Specializing in fresh sashimi's, specialty rolls. Very nice blue fin tuna, lobster sashimi and tobiko fried rice. The grilled prawns(shell on) wasnt very goood or interesting. Overall the food is good as... More
